Integrated Audio Bible Support

SwordSearcher supports integration of audio Bibles right into the Bible panel. With audio Bible support, you can play narrations of the Bible with familiar audio controls right in the Bible panel.

Audio playback is synchronized in the Bible panel and verses highlight as they are read. Now, in version 8.3 (or later) of SwordSearcher, you can also control the speed of the playback to better suit your tastes and personal reading speed.

SwordSearcher does not itself include an audio Bible, but instead, supports "linking" MP3 Bible file sets available from various sources. To enable Bible audio in SwordSearcher, you simply integrate them in SwordSearcher with the easy-to-use Configure Audio Bibles window.

Recommended Audio Bible for use with SwordSearcher

For a great experience, we highly recommend The Scourby Audio Bible: King James Version from Hendrickson Publishers. This narration of the Bible is well-known as one of the best, and Scourby's voice and skill has led to his narration being the most remembered part of his long career as an actor.

Once you copy the files from the Hendrickson DVD to your hard drive, you can add them to SwordSearcher by selecting Configure Audio Bibles on the File menu. Using this audio Bible allows you to play individual verses from the Bible, as well as play complete chapters.
