How to use the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

The Treasury of Scripture Knowledge (TSK) is a time-tested Bible help that avoids exposition and interpretation in favor of straightforward comparison of Scripture with Scripture. The TSK can be thought of as the most exhaustive collection of margin cross-references available, but it goes well beyond merely listing additional verses to read: it helps you define words and phrases from within a Bible verse using the Bible itself. In my opinion, if one were required to choose only a single written work in addition to the Bible for studying, the TSK would be the best option.

At first glance, the TSK can appear cryptic. However, once you understand the basic structure, it is quite easy to use, and with a little bit of time will help you define a coherent theology on just about any Bible subject.

It details the fall of man into sin, the great flood and salvation of Noah and his family, and the origin of the nation of Israel.

SwordSearcher Modules Repository has moved

The old SSModules web site, containing free downloadable library material for SwordSearcher, as been merged with the new SwordSearcher Forums. See the new module repository here.

There are plenty of extra books you can download and add to SwordSearcher. Plus, you can vote for your favorite modules (including ones included with SwordSearcher). SwordSearcher users who have created books can even upload their modules to share.

Version 7.0 hotfix 1 available

A minor, free update for SwordSearcher 7.0 users has been posted today.

A “hotfix” is a small update released to fix very specific bugs after the DVD-ROM was already replicated.

This is for 7.0 users only.  You can check to see if this update is applicable to you by going to the Help menu in SwordSearcher and selecting check for updates. If you need the update, it will let you know and you can download it for free.

Daily Bible and Prayer 2.3 (free)

Daily Bible and Prayer 2.3 was released today.

This new version of DBAP adds integration for SwordSearcher. If you have SwordSearcher 5.3 or later installed, Daily Bible and Prayer can open verses inside of SwordSearcher for extended study.

This handy SwordSearcher integration is only available if SwordSearcher is also installed on your computer. This makes it easy to use Daily Bible and Prayer to create reading plans and read the text without distractions, and also gives you the power to begin an deep study on any verse instantly in SwordSearcher.
